Five minutes of Fame
The eagled eyed of you out there may have noticed my face popping up in various places over the course of last week and into this one.

After being connected with Big Partnership by Business Gateway we worked together to create an article that would be sent out to raise awareness of both my business and how Business Gateway helped me move forward and scale up and I've frankly been blown away by the response.

Plastic Free Packaging at Candy Coated

I heard a fact a few years ago regarding plastic that really stuck with me, it was that virtually every piece of plastic that was ever made still exists in some shape or form.

This fact becomes more and more worrying the more we become aware of how this impacts our planet today. I want to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. So in an attempt to help the environment wherever possible I have now shifted to plastic free packaging.

This includes recyclable paper padded envelopes, no more jiffy bags for me. Paper Kraft tape used to seal any cardboard boxes sent with your goodies. As well as other items such as recycled labels, compostable self seal clear bags and compostable sealer stickers.

Recycling is fantastic but if we can completely replace the plastic we use for other alternatives (for which there are so many these days) then hopefully one day it means less manufacturing of single use plastic so there will be less in our landfills, our oceans and our planet.
